Experiences
- 1996: I worked, in the laboratory of Molecular Biology directed by Prof. Luigi Chiecco-Bianchi, on the frequency of a mutated CCR-5 allele (delta 32) among Italina blood donors and individuals at risk of parenteral HIV infection.
- 1997-1999: I continued, my training, in the clinical part of Medical Oncology working with Dr. A. Fornasiero on solid tumours mainly Breast and Colorectal and Ovarian cancer, with Dr. A. Favaretto on Lung Cancer, with Dr. V. Chiarion on Melanoma, with A. Brandes on Brain tumours, with Dr. S. Aversa on Autologous Bone Marow Transplant for Lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma and Solid Tumours ( Under the patronage of Prof. Gianni Bonadonna), Moreover, I directly participated to the study of screening for Prostate Cancer, to the XXII Meeting of EORTC-PAMM, Post-graduate course of Gynaecologic cancer of Post-University School (Dr. Francesco Raspagliesi).
- January 2000- April 2007: I followed the therapeutic studies for Conventional treatment and Bone Marrow Transplantation (with Dr. Benedetti and Prof. Rodeghiero) for Malignant and Benign Haematological disorders (Lymphomas, Leukemia, Multiple Myeloma and Thalassemia patient), Master in Bone Marrow Transplantation at International Centre for Transplantation in Thalassemia and sickle Cell Anemia of the Mediterranean Institute of Haematology directed by Prof. G. Lucarelli (Rome, Italy).
- June 2009-March 2012: Honorary Clinical Observer contract with King’s College Hospital (School of Medicine at Guy’s, King’s College and St Thomas Hospitals, Department of Haematological Medicine directed by Prof. Ghulam Mufti) for the purposes of postgraduate training in clinical and laboratory haematology to enhance patient care in the Middle East.
